Job Summary

D&F Plumbing requires an experienced and dedicated Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber for residential and commercial service. In this customer-facing role, we expect a true professional who can work independently and efficiently to deliver impressive service. You should have strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, estimate-building and pricing experience, and be a master at closing the sale — all while creating an exceptional customer experience.

Lots of opportunity $51.00 and up per hour depending on skills and experience, as well as fantastic benefits.

We expect someone who is confident and capable of installing, maintaining and repairing sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with regulatory codes.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
  • Provide installation, maintenance and repairs for all aspects of residential and commercial plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Read and interpret blueprints/plans to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts
  • Educate customers on their plumbing system and possible solutions
  • Offer a range of options and pricing to keep projects within the customers’ budget
  • Explain the features and benefits of each solution
  • Obtain agreements for services before performing work
  • Perform cutting, welding and assembling of pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
  • Handle customer questions and project success with callbacks and clear communication
  • Follow all processes, steps on a call, keep branding of D&F front of customer experience
  • Take careful notes, photos and project descriptions within the customers’ profile
  • Collect, record and take payments with accuracy
  • Use the company software (Service Titan) for all customer interactions, payments and job information (training provided)
  • Stock service truck with adequate parts and materials weekly
  • Transport materials and tools to the job site and maintain proper inventory of tools, materials, equipment, etc.
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site with respect to customer's property
  • Handle materials, tools and equipment properly and store them correctly
  • Responsibly maintain equipment, tools and company vehicles, in clean and good working condition
  • Background check required for this position
  • Rotational after-hours schedule in place for all service plumbers

Skills & Qualifications

  • Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship
  • 2+ years experience as a Plumber
  • Valid plumbing license
  • Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems
  • Proficiency reading blueprints and using plumbing tools
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Good customer service and sales skills
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy equipment, 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with Service Titan is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51.00 - $70.00 per hour
