Jack in the Box Inc. is seeking a Restaurant District Manager in the Salt Lake City market to drive restaurant sales and profits by giving restaurant management clear direction and leadership. You will conduct restaurant audits, regularly monitor performance, and educate and consult with managers to ensure their understanding of restaurant operational and financial performance. In addition, you will be responsible for executing the brand strategy and promoting the Company’s vision, mission, and values. You will also utilize effective recruiting sources and methods to attract and select talented employees.

As a Restaurant District Manager, you will:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Restaurant District Manager oversees the overall operation of retail stores within an assigned territory or district. The District Manager supervises the district's daily operations to achieve sales, profit, customer satisfaction, public safety, and employee relations objectives. Ensures objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines and following ethical business practices.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership: Setting goals for the workgroup, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:

Creates district implementation plans to support the execution of regional and Company initiatives to achieve operational excellence and business results. Follows up consistently to ensure accountability to plans.
Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the store management team within the district to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives.
Manages through unusual events to keep the district operating to standard.
Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Seasons Restaurant Group culture, values, and mission.
Plans to identify, communicate, and delegate key responsibilities and practices to the store management team to ensure the smooth flow of operations within the district.
Review store environments and key business indicators within the district to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching to the store management team to take action and achieve operational goals.

Planning and Execution: Developing strategic and operational plans for the workgroup, managing execution, and measuring results:

Creates district implementation plans to support the execution of regional and Company initiatives to achieve operational excellence and business results. Follows up consistently to ensure accountability to plans
Monitors and manages district-wide management staffing levels. Ensures management-level partner development and talent acquisition to meet district operational requirements.
Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and filters communications to the store management team within the district. Communicates concisely and accurately to ensure effective operations at the store and district levels.

Business Requirements: Providing functional expertise and executing operational responsibilities:

Accesses external resources to support district-wide operations and to implement district and regional initiatives such as Partner Resources, Marketing, Partner & Asset Protection, Finance, Real Estate, and Store Development
Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for nonexempt partners and minors
Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community
Utilizes management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in district performance.
Partner Development & Team Building: Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:

Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results
Develops and maintains positive relationships with partners in the district by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Manages the district-wide store management team by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve partner performance. Works ongoing partner performance using performance management tools to support organizational objectives.
Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and programs and finding new, creative, and effective recognition methods.
Utilizes and demonstrates practical management principles and practices to create and maintain a successful team of store managers, resulting in an environment where partners are valued and respected.

Qualifications Restaurant District Manager:
Progressively responsible retail experience (5 years)
District Manager or equivalent level position (3 years)
Experience analyzing financial reports
Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
Retail management experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to manage the overall operations of multiple stores independently
Knowledge of retail or restaurant industry operations
Organization and planning skills
Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
Supervisory skills
Team-building skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to build relationships
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Physical Requirements – Ability to stand and walk approximately 85%-95% of shift; lift and carry 10-65 lbs; move freely throughout the restaurant; operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle.

Salary: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
