Job Description Summary:

Maximus seeks an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) PM to support an Maximus Provider ‘360’ Product and DDI project. The ideal candidate has experience leading product SSI project IV&V project.

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide IV&V Consultant services during the specific timeframe (e.g., through solution implementation and Go-Live of the initial project phase, project start-up through completion of a key critical event, etc.)
• Evaluating assigned IT projects to determine application of industry best practices, assess project risks, and identify recommendations to optimize project performance
• Verifying products conforms to technical and non-technical requirements
• Make specific actionable recommendations to address any anomalies or findings reported
• Writing IV&V reports and presenting findings to client
• Participate on, or leads a team, conducting oversight and assessment activities for large-scale software development projects
• Support the client management and stakeholders to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur, in an effort to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budge

Minimum Requirements:

• The Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Consultant shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities

• The IV&V Consultant must be knowledgeable and practiced in all aspects of information technology system development life-cycle (SDLC) processes
• The successful candidate has demonstrated their ability to deliver client business value as an IV&V Consultant by presenting findings and issues to technical and business stakeholders in a professional manner based on the facts through a data driven approach and without bias
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Self-Driven - actively looks for ways to contribute including testing code for large scale/availability / resiliency
• Demonstrates the highest degree of integrity

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of five (10) years providing IV&V services for Health System (MMIS, Medicaid/Medicare System) for state government agency IT projects
• At least five (10) years’ experience in two or more of the following specializations: a) Business requirements and business flow development and facilitation | b) System / IT infrastructure security | c) Legacy system languages (e.g., COBOL) | d) Current system languages (e.g., JAVA, .NET) | e) System/User test management and execution | f) System architecture design | g) Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) | h) Database design and development
• MITA/IEEE/CMMI IV&V framework is MUST
• At least five (10) years IV&V experience on large, complex software development and systems implementation projects applying Client
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with Project Management Institute® (PMI®) Preferred
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science is MUST
