Role: The IT Business Partner (ITBP) has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. The ITBP proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units. They partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance). They serve a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Acts as a strategic interface with business units. Through a process of interviewing and engaging, makes decisions on priorities and provides solutions that meet the needs of business units. Represents IT in support of the business.
• Develops and implements sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively exercising independent judgment to anticipate gaps and overlaps within the portfolio. Decides which gaps to pursue and uses discretionary judgment to create recommendations for solutions and/or propose IT projects and solutions.
• Develops and implements sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio. Facilitates decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience: Six or more years of IT and/or business/industry work experience, with at least three years of leadership experience and five years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios is required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Master's Degree preferred. New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification preferred.
