TITLE: IT Business Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Compensation Range : $130,000-150,000

Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on IT Business Analyst with experience in the Power & Gas Commodity markets. You will lead and support transformation and new business projects spanning the full trade lifecycle.
Responsibilities
· Partner with key users, business leads, and project sponsors to understand the needs of the business, document them (via requirements documents, use cases and process diagrams), and determine the appropriate short and long term solutions to meet them.
· Work with the technical project teams to develop project scope, resource needs, timeline, and development approach.
· Lead, monitor and track projects via lean project management methodologies.
· Actively collaborate with development and support teams to assure solution meets requirements.
· Develop and implement test plans based on business requirements. Acquire and/or create test data and business process scenarios. Test/QA solutions.
· Train user's
· Influence the decision-making process through effectively presenting concepts and project overviews to stakeholders
· Prepare recommendations and proposed IT solutions
· Communicate with stakeholders throughout solution development to coordinate business expectations & development efforts
Skills and Experience
· Bachelor Degree in related field of study
· Desired knowledge of Commodities trading through the full trade lifecycle. Power and Gas would be ideal.
· Desired understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, from deal inception to settlements
· Ability to document business requirements in an accurate, unambiguous and succinct fashion. Ability to effectively interview users throughout the project lifecycle. Process analysis and diagramming skills.
· Lead and manage projects to successful completion
· SQL and PL/SQL and relational database experience
· Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL Queries/Data Exploration
· Working knowledge of development tools and database technologies
· Desired working knowledge of Openlink Endur and market data systems
· Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
· Proven ability to rapidly solve business problems via lean/agile solution delivery methods
· Highly motivated self-starter able to meet deadlines with limited supervision
· Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
· Excellent customer services skills including positive attitude
· Exceptional presentation and client relation skills. Ability to create succinct presentations for stakeholders to pace projects through completion.
· Proven ability to work with development teams to deliver modern solutions
· Ability to travel to support solution delivery
