IT Operations Architect

This role is Hybrid

We are seeking a hands-on IT Operation Architect - Core Systems / Cloud who is skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues. The successful candidate will assist in developing the Corporate IT Operations architecture strategy, deliver strategic solutions and provide last level support for the IT Operations team. Functioning as a senior member of the corporate IT Operations team, this role will report into the Sr Director - IT Operations & Digital Workplace.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days of the week out of our Dublin, CA office.

In this role you will…

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholder to understand requirements and use technical architecture expertise to design effective solutions to solve challenging problems
  • Educate and influence stakeholders and engineering team on effective cloud solutions and best practices
  • Design and document technical specifications, configurations and customizations for SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions and systems integrations
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and core system / cloud policies
  • Understand IT application portfolio, IT and business priorities, and success measures to design implementation architectures and AWS solutions to support PaaS, DevOps & Advanced Application coding
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative and communicates project status, activities, and achievements with internal stakeholders
  • Perform as subject matter expert (SME) on Cloud (AWS, Azure, O365) and core systems /applications /processes / within the infrastructure
  • Maintains the company’s adherence to technology requirements for security & privacy.
  • Drive planning and execution of identity management roadmaps and technology enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the overall infrastructure and its performance

You Have What It Takes If You Have…

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience
  • 10+ years of experience combined with large-scale projects in cloud technology, infrastructure architecture, compute and networking architecture, edge connectivity, and IT operations automation
  • Strong technical experience with AD/Azure AD, SMTP, Exchange On-line / Office 365 - Proofpoint Enterprise Protection Experience with TAP - O365 PowerShell and Graph API experience - Familiarity with Email Authentication services like SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and DNS record usage for email services - Worked with Security Compliance services in O365
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS network infrastructure ((VPC, Transit gateway, Load Balancers etc.).
  • Proficient in creating and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts - utilizing industry standard tools (Example: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.) Building CI/CD processes and pipelines to enable 1-click and self-managed deployments.
  • Experience with big data systems, analytics, containerized microservices, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture. Strong understanding of security best practices (e.g., using IAM Roles, KMS, Secrets Managers, etc.)
  • Experience (Okta preferred) implementing simple to complex SSO integrations leveraging modern protocols and legacy header based architectures
  • Strong experience in data security practices and procedures, including systems analysis, authentication technologies, and access controls
  • Good understanding of the latest security principles like zero trust and passwordless authentication to implement new standards in the authentication model
  • Strong in script development and scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell, Python,etc)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

Total Rewards:

At Cornerstone, our transparent total rewards program is based on three core tenets: equitable pay, market dynamic research, and skill-based appraisal.
The base salary range for this position is: $133000 - $213000 USD
In addition to competitive base pay, the compensation package for this role may include other incentives like bonus or commission, along with a generous benefits package. Additional base pay may be available if you reside in a high-cost metro area (New York City or San Francisco Bay Area).
This range reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position. Where an individual’s pay falls within the range is determined by factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
