We are a new cannabis dispensary in the East Lansing area. We are seeking motivated team member to fill our Inventory Specialist and Fulfillment role. This is an inventory control position with a heavy emphasis on compliance, inventory control, METRC, fulfillment and product knowledge. We are looking for a team member that is comfortable helping to intake product deliveries into the POS, count and audit inventory, fulfill customer orders, and labeling product for sale. Speaking to a variety of customers throughout the day while assisting them with their purchase, answering general product and cannabis questions, promoting our store brand, and generally making customers feel great about their visit.

Responsibilities

• Intake Deliveries - Assist managers with METRC deliveries and product intake from vendors and sticker products
• Inventory Control- Perform audits of different Cannabis products daily
• Order fulfillment- Fulfill customer orders through POS as orders come to back of house
• Customer service - Assist sales staff on the frontlines of the customer experience. We look to sales staff to be enthusiastic, compassionate, friendly, and intelligent about the products we sell.
• Product knowledge - Must be motivated to learn and retain product knowledge on a large variety of cannabis products including, brands, product categories, product details, price, effect, quality, etc.
• Must be a positive team player - Everyone will depend on each other and work together in a tight knit team environment.
• Follow rules and regulations established by the company, in line with MI state regulations.
• Ability to be self accountable - Includes being on time, expressing scheduling needs in advance, notifying management of mistakes, ask questions if unsure.
• Proper use of POS - must learn to use the system properly to conduct compliant sales.
• Must be able to adapt to new rules and regulations as the company and program grow.
• Generally must be able to present one’s best self - understand the team goals and do your best to help achieve them in a customer focused, team oriented environment.

Skill and Physical Requirements

• Personable - Must be able to offer superior customer service with a great attitude
• Communication - Must be able to speak appropriately to customers, team members and management. Must be able to express your work needs to the supervisor.
• Product detail retention - Must be able to remember details on a large variety of products
• Cannabis knowledge - Must be able to remember general details about cannabis, such as, terminology, cannabinoid & terpene knowledge, general history & legality (rules), strain details, usage, etc.
• Honesty and Accountability - Must be able to follow rules and reg, and must be able to speak up if any mistakes are made. The cannabis industry is highly regulated so honesty and accountability are necessary.
• Able to oversee all payments made on sales drawer throughout day - comfortable with cash handling
• Ability to use a computer and accessories to perform general sales task - Must learn and be comfortable with POS (Treez)
• Standing for up to 3-4 hours at a time

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Sales/Retail experience - 2-4 years
• Cannabis experience preferred, specifically retail
