Welcome to Manthei Wood Products. We have a hardwood face veneer division, a specialty plywood division, and a retail wood products division.

We are currently seeking an Inventory & Quality Controller to ensure all finished products of rotary veneer meet the required quality standards and are properly recorded in the inventory management system. This is involves inspecting finished products, completing regrade audits, creating reports, and collaborating with other team members to improve the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hours being approximately 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge and understanding of veneer and plywood industry grades, as well as customer specific grades
• Manage the acquisition of production data
• Supervise the auditing of inventory levels and cycle counts
• Create reports on product quality and inventory levels
• Conduct regular quality inspections of finished products
• Assist management on the production floor as needed
• Operate forklifts in a safe and responsible manner that abides by all company procedures and OSHA standards
• Understand and follow employee conduct guidelines established in the employee handbook.
• Demonstrate & communicate company’s core values
• Other duties and projects as determined by production and overall company business needs

Other Skills, Abilities, Licenses or Certifications

• Basic understanding of inventory and quality assurance processes
• Ability to read text and numbers; interpret labels and spreadsheets
• Ability to become proficient in the company's inventory management and computer software systems (ie. Netsuite)
• Current Driver's license
• Forklift certification from in house training
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Education and Experience

• Business related degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in inventory management and logistics is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Proficient with Excel (conditional formatting, formulas, pivot tables, etc)
