Overview

As a full-time Inventory / Merchandising Associate in our Outlet at Room & Board , you will be part of a 6-person team responsible for accepting weekly semi- trailer loads of furniture and other home furnishings and preparing our 25,000 sq. ft. Outlet for our customers to visit and shop over the weekend.

Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Off Thursdays & Fridays - with one weekend off per month.

Note: The weeks surrounding your weekend off, you will work two Thursday shifts (days will vary, so flexibility with your schedule will be necessary).

Location : 4600 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley .

You'll be responsible for: Inventory / Merchandising Associate

Receiving Product for the Outlet: Safely and effectively offloading 3 to 4 semi-trailer loads of product with care utilizing proper equipment to minimize damage and injuries. You'll obtain forklift certification (provided by us) and maintain safe usage of equipment used within the warehouse.
Staging Product in the Outlet: Safely and carefully relocate and stage product throughout the Outlet showroom. Finalizing merchandising and preparing the Outlet showroom for retail sales on Saturday (completing product/furniture details, tagging product, general cleaning and organization). Working on a variety of projects to support the Outlet operations.
Supporting Smooth Operations of the Outlet on Saturdays & Sundays: In partnership with a co-leader, you will open and close the facility, interact with customers and provide work direction including training and development of weekend part-time staff. You will be fully immersed in a retail environment during the weekend shift and will often find yourself assisting customers first-hand.

The qualifications you'll bring: Inventory / Merchandising Associate

An understanding of the importance of safe working habits as you ensure the safe, accurate and efficient handling of our furniture.
Ability to lift 75-100 pounds independently throughout the day.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and a physical abilities test related to the role.
