Volt is immediately hiring for Inventory Control Coordinator in Devens, Massachusetts

As an Inventory Control Coordinator, you will:
  • Maintains and updates inventory records.
  • Creates efficient and accurate inventory management procedures.
  • Reconciles inventories to book records and adjusts when necessary.
  • Coordinates the annual physical inventory procedures.
  • Performs weekly cycle counts and makes system adjustments as necessary.
  • In conjunction with DC Supervisor, implements a loss prevention program.
  • Makes recommendations to the DC Supervisor on programs to improve inventory management.
  • Maintains tight security over the inventory.
  • Ensures that only authorized personnel have access to inventory records.
  • Conducts any search to locate products within the system.
  • Adjusts records when there are discrepancies and takes steps to correct and prevent discrepancies.
  • Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reports.
  • Develops a program to audit returns and move returned products to its proper location. When necessary, processes proper documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction. Takes appropriate action on product that is not in saleable condition.
  • Develops all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments.
  • Communicates timing of physical inventories and any variances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a 4 Month Contract to hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices.
  • Skills in mathematics, personal computers (Excel) and spreadsheets are vital.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems required.
  • Accuracy and thoroughness are required with great attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $19/hr. to $21/hr.
  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
