Interviewer/Surveyor (Valley Metro Phoenix)

We are a transit research data collection firm seeking Interviewers for a 2-month project March 24th-May 31st for Valley Metro Transit Authority in Phoenix. This is an entry level customer service position. You will be hired to conduct surveys with riders on a tablet and plotting start and end locations on Google Maps for market research to improve transit in the Phoenix region.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). AM Shifts are 5:00am-1:00pm approx. and PM Shifts are 1:00pm-10:00pm approx. Shift times may vary slightly depending on bus schedule. You will be riding on board various assigned buses conducting surveys, sometimes even surveying at the stations.

Report Locations:

Van Buren/Central Avenue Station, also known as Central Station, Tempe Transportation Center and other bus and light rail stations in Phoenix and Tempe.

A car will be necessary to get to rail stations early in the morning since we start before the bus and trains start running. Parking at stations is available.

Training Time: AM Training 7am-11am, PM Training 12pm-7pm

Shifts: AM Shifts: 5:00am-1:00pm, PM Shifts: 1:00pm-10:00pm
Hours: 35-40 hours per week
Pay rate: $20 Per Hour
Paid weekly

Requirements:

· Must be prompt as timeliness is important

· Must be able to communicate with strangers (Bus Passengers)

· Must possess knowledge of smartphones and/or tablet programs

· Must possess knowledge of Google maps

· Must be able to stand on your feet on board a moving bus for up to 7 - 8 hours

· Must be comfortable asking personal travel and demographic questions
