Responsibilities
Supports patient care during critical procedures within the Cardiac Cath lab and Interventional Radiology lab (including heart attack and trauma). Functions as a clinical support and interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family care needs. Assists the team with patient and room prep for procedure, assists with intra-procedure care, assists with post procedure care and room turnover and patient transport. Works directly with Nursing (RN) and Imaging Technologists (RTR) to identify patient needs and contribute to the plan of care. Communicates with health care team, patient and family. Provides assistance and ensures safe environment of care. Applies principles of continuous improvement to all aspects of the job performance. Maintains professional conduct and appearance in performance of daily activities and communicates and works effectively with physicians and other staff members. Consists mainly of evenings on call and weekends on call.

Qualifications
Must be a student in an accredited program for Radiologic Technology or Nursing or actively pursuing acceptance in to a program of Radiologic Technology or School of Nursing. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Flexibility (Works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends). Basic computer skills. Teamwork Basic improvement concepts and techniques.
License or Certification
Current BLS certification or within six months of employment.

Schedule Details
This position consists mainly of on-call hours. (once orientation is complete) On-call hours for weekdays are from 4:30pm until 0730am the next day. Typically, this position is responsible for 2-3 nights of call per week. Every other holiday on call would be expected as well.
Weekend Schedule
Every other weekend on call. Weekend consists of Friday at 4:30pm until Monday at 7:30am.
