ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of providers on growth initiatives to increase access to rheumatology care
• Collaborate with department administration regarding finances, budgets, operations, staffing, and strategic planning to identify pathways to expand access
• Lead provider recruitment and retention efforts
• Oversee Rheumatology Division quality enhancement activities to provide outstanding outcomes while ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain clinical and administrative policies in rheumatology
• Organize, direct, and implement practices to assure continued compliance with applicable laws within clinical and research areas, including the guidelines established by CMS and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals
• Work with multidisciplinary team and across ancillary departments to address systemic issues and changes in process
• Ensure fellowship program meets both ACGME requirements as well as fellow growth and education needs
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient care for rheumatology patients

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• MD degree or equivalent with board certification in Rheumatology
• Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
