We're seeking aggressive, forward thinking and highly motivated candidate to help launch our drayage operation in the Miami market.

Forward Intermodal is seeking a capable and career-oriented Terminal Manager to lead our intermodal start-up operation. The ideal candidate will be tasked with managing all aspects of a start-up operation, including drivers, new customers, and terminal staffing as growth persists. He/she will provide planning for, direction to, and will control available resources associated with a drayage operation. In addition, he/she will provide training, performance feedback, and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Direct management of staff including supervision, clerical, and labor
• Management of both office and driver fleet.
• Oversight of Owner/Operator Recruiting for the terminal
• Management of dispatch orders and shipments
• Management of internal operating policies and procedures
• Interacting with the customers on a daily basis, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Accountable for monthly P&L review
• Various reports on production, quality, timeliness, staffing, billing, and discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Local Miami drayage experience is a plus +++
• 3+ years management experience in an Intermodal environment
• Demonstrated operational management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
• Understand P&L statements and analyze areas for production improvement.

Skills:

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
