Yarde metals is looking to fill an inside sales representative position with an experienced candidate, but is willing to train
the right candidate with minimal experience
who has the potential to learn and grow.
An
Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new and existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service while maximizing sales and profit goals.
Responsibilities
- Successfully meet sales goals.
- Project a “Can-Do” attitude and consistently provide exceptional customer service.
- Take incoming calls, interpret customer requirements, and negotiate pricing, service, and delivery.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Communicate with account and product managers about account strategy, pricing, and acquisition of new accounts.
- Expedite orders and respond to customer inquiries.
- Review sales and profit reports.
- Remain current with product knowledge, pricing, services and market/industry trends.
- Travel with account managers to visit accounts.
- Participate in ongoing training and development.
- Experience sales representative will provide guidance to sales trainees.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent is required. A college degree is strongly preferred.
- One year experience directly related to the duties of the position, preferably in the metals service industry or manufacturing.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
- Strong verbal communication skills with ability to speak clearly and concisely.
- Capable of building and developing strong business relationships.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to negotiate, persuade and make sound business decisions.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
