About this Role
This role is part of our established Information Governance team and will join an experienced Data Protection Officer and fellow qualified Information Governance professionals.

Our information governance team sits within the organisation’s risk and assurance function and operates in line with information risk best practice
The post-holder will take a key role in the information governance team’s delivery of operational information governance across the organisation, incorporating data protection, freedom of information, records and information management, equality impact assessment and information asset register.

Main duties
Your main duties will include:

Act as a practitioner within our service working closely with stakeholders and other service teams to deliver a continuously improving service offer
Provide information governance subject matter expertise to our clients across our casework portfolio
Contribute to development of policy, procedure, and guidance in line with best practice and statutory requirements for information governance
Develop and deliver training programmes to colleagues, building a productive network of contacts within the business
Build and continuously improve relationships with our stakeholders including our emerging capabilities with auditees, for example partners in our supply chain
Contribute to the operational delivery of our statutory casework in accordance with statutory timelines
Work with stakeholders, peers, partners, and regulators to ensure that RoS benefits from developments in best practice
Deliver the operational requirements of the information governance function (including risk and impact assessment and responding to rights requests)
Work with IT Security, Business Continuity and Risk Management colleagues to ensure that information governance is appropriately represented in these areas
