Job description
IUPAT DC 53 is seeking those with CDLs experienced or inexperienced in the industrial hydro field, but interested in working in said field, nonetheless. Looking for workers who want to become members with IUPAT and work in the Steubenville, OH area. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and will be required to perform essential tasks involved in industrial hydro work. Said work may include the following:
- Communicating with a supervisor to determine their water blasting requirements and helping them make the best decisions for their projects.
- Setting up respirators and other safety equipment to protect Hydro workers from unhealthy fumes.
- Cleaning a variety of surfaces and spaces with water as instructed by the supervisor.
- Performing tasks associated with high pressure water blasting, tank cleaning, hazardous waste clean-up in a refinery or plant-based setting and emergency response work.
- Assisting with heavy lifting, up to 50lbs at times, and unloading/loading heavy items as needed.
- Must be willing to do manual labor and get dirty as necessary to get the job done.
- This is a physically intensive position that will require extensive manual labor at times!
