PRS is searching for a meticulous Industrial Engineer to monitor our current operations and determine more efficient production processes. The Industrial Engineer's responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet the established quality standards. Participate with management team members in continuous improvement activities designed to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase internal/external customer satisfaction in manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a need for action and the ability to drive significant and sustainable results.

Industrial Engineering Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer:

  • Developing and implementing process improvements & technological upgrades

  • Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel

  • Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analysis and estimated production costs

  • Maintaining the layout of facilities and assisting personnel requirements

  • Training staff for new processes and supplying instruction and manuals
  • Managing process documentation
  • Support visual management strategy
  • Conduct time studies
  • Perform project work (manual or admin) at the discretion of the Industrial Engineering Manager

Experience Requirements and Competencies for the Industrial Engineer:

The Industrial Engineer needs to have a passion for not being satisfied with the status quo. Complacency is NOT something that an Engineer adheres to. They are motivated to pursue positive change and work with employees in facilitating/adhering to changes. An I.E., has excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate with all levels of employees from upper management to production employees. They work with all positions to explain the reasons for changing processes and how to make those changes.

  • Bachelor's in science in Industrial Engineering

  • 3-5 years as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Lean experience such as the following would be desirable but not required:

    • Kaizen event participation
    • 5S
    • Value Stream Mapping
    • Standard Work
    • SMED
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes and standards

  • High degree of Critical thinking and Problem-Solving skills, Strategic Thinking and Adaptability

  • Troubleshooting skills and diligence

  • Documentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to create and improve layouts using 2D CAD drawings to improve efficiency and product flow

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. Ability to manage and advance multiple projects and meet deadlines
