RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops, and implements effective and cost-efficient labor standards.
- Designs, develops, and maintains departmental production labor cost systems.
- Applies effective workplace designs to meet ergonomic/safety objectives.
- Initiates, evaluates, and justifies appropriation requests for projects and equipment.
- Determines and prioritizes projects for the plant and provides guidance on all project related questions.
- Identifies opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements for the plant and collaborates cross-functionally to implement the solutions.
- Provides Level 1 plant IT support.
- Able to fill-in for production supervisor up to 15 times per year on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- A bachelor's degree.
- A track record of successful plant industrial engineering experience.
- A pattern of initiative.
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of and demonstrated ability to apply Continuous Improvement Tools such as DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, and 5 Why.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
