Main position objectives

This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, reporting and coordinating production operations. Helps improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays caused by Part Availability, Operator workload, equipment failures and other obstacles. Generates reports and provides information to supervisors and management to improve productivity. The Planner- Expeditor will research BOM’s of capital assemblies to determine if the schedule can be met and will work closely with purchasing and vendors to expedite parts to meet schedule requirement.

Position description – Tasks, Responsibilities, Competencies

· Coordinate production operations with personnel, materials and equipment availability.

· Work with production supervisor to adequately prioritize production needs.

· Reviews on a daily basis, MRP (Material Review Planner) to assist in the scheduling and planning

of Capital and Rotor Orders.

· Monitor resource planning, daily production and the moving and replenishment of materials working

closely with suppliers and purchasers.

· Collaborating with project management to prepare for project review meetings.

· Facilitating flow of materials between various departments and parties.

· Meeting and collaborating with management to assess reliability of suppliers and vendors, and to

identify solutions for ongoing problems.

· Contribute and lead initiatives to continuous improvement to be identified and implemented.

· Create, release and maintain material requisitions and routings in SAP to ensure production is

completed effectively.

· Analyze work center load/capacity and communicate changes in priority to cell leaders.

· Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

· Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.

Job Specification

Education (area of studies, Management, IT etc.)

Mandatory

· High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

· 2+ years of work experience in a similar role.

· Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement.

· Excellent computer skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable

· SAP Experience

· Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.

Professional experience (description incl. No. of years)

Mandatory

· 2+ years of work experience in a similar role.

· Strong aptitude with reading and interpreting engineering assembly level drawings

Desirable

· Experience in plastics processing equipment assembly.
