Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a traveling Hydraulics Field Service Technician position with a manufacturing company located in Hillsboro, OR. The person in this position will provide phone and field support for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel equipment, often throughout the United States and internationally once trained.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Train in shop for three to six months on products and manufacturing process.
• Provide onsite and phone support for industrial products throughout the US and internationally including China, Japan, Canada, UAE, Australia, and more.
• Complete all administrative paperwork in a timely manner (expense reports, timesheets and service reports).
• Perform hands on maintenance and installation including working on hydrualics, diesel systems, and DC wiring.
• Provide feedback to Engineer and Production for issues found in the field.
• Assist in training customers on new equipment.
• Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Maintain safe working conditions while on the customers site and identifies potential hazards.
• Operates overhead cranes, forklifts, yard truck and other company equipment as required.

Field Service Technician Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in a shop/industrial environment preferred.
• 4+ years of experience working on electrical (DC wiring), hydraulic and diesel systems.
• Must pass background check, no offenses due to international travel requirements.
• Must be willing to travel both domestic and international up to 90% of the time. Proficient in Windows based applications.
• Capable of interpreting blueprints and/or following a scope of work or project.
• Read hydraulic symbols and circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of various tube fittings and ability to select the proper replacement.
• Know how to prevent and repair system leaks.
• Williness to complete BOSIET training.
