Flexforce pros is currently recruiting for 1 class and 2 class Marine HVAC technicians to work in a reputable Shipyard in Franklin, Louisiana.

• 5 Years minimum as a HVAC technician (1 Class)
• 2 years minimun as a HVAC technician (2 Class)
• Must be able to read, understand, and troubleshoot schematics.
• Basic ABS rules and know where to find and use CFRs.
• Test and pressure all cooper lines.
• Can use Volt-Ohm meter fluently.
• Fabricate and install penetrations, pipe hangers and foundations.
• Know how to flush cooper, freon and water lines.
• Crimp or solder all cooper, freon and water lines.
• Can connect HVAC pressure gauges and properly read them.
• Know proper operation and installation of chiller units.
• Can work with different pressures and set points for freon and water units.
• Know how to parallel circuitry in both AC and DC.
• Knowledge of power tools.
• Knowledge of cooling water side of HVAC.
• Knowledge of pipe fittings and valves.
• Know how properly insulate cooper and PVC pipelines.
• Know how to rate the air velocity of a room.
• Know how to install ducting correctly.
• Can troubleshoot marine HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of shipyard work and fabrication.
• Can perform all work that a Class 2 and Class 3 HVAC technician can accomplish. (1 Class)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or keel regularly as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

• Franklin, LA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• HVAC: 5 years (Preferred)

• EPA Type II (Preferred)
