GENERAL SUMMARY
Weldon Services is rapidly growing and has an immediate opening for an HVAC/R licensed service technician for commercial calls and PMs. Assembles, installs, services, and repairs air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units used in schools, commercial and industrial buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations;
- Determines cause of equipment breakdown;
- Tests parts with appropriate instruments;
- Dissembles and assembles parts and makes necessary repairs;
- Connects motors to control panels to power source;
- Installs refrigerant piping as necessary for split system A/C units;
- Able to analyze wiring schematics;
- Mechanical service and troubleshooting of split systems, packaged A/C systems, chill water, hot water systems, boilers, motors, pumps, etc.;
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge in electrical wiring and troubleshooting;
- Broad understanding of electronic controls and circuit boards;
- Good basic experience in mechanical systems and how they should operate;
- Must be HVAC licensed & EPA certified in the handling of all refrigerants;
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Commercial HVAC: 10 years
EPA Type II
M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm is standard work week with a rotating On Call schedule (currently once every 5 weeks)
Overtime based on job needs and season
