Human Resources/Payroll Specialist We are seeking an experienced, professional individual with a strong Human Resource background and experience with payroll processing for a full time position in healthcare. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Human Resources professional who can work independently and as part of a team. The Human Resources Specialist’s main function is to assist the Human Resources department and offer direct support to the Director of Human Resources and the HR team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure legal compliance of personnel records with applicable federal & state laws and DOH regulations
• Manage benefit enrollment of health & ancillary insurances and 401k
• Annual reporting of OSHA, EEO, ACA, and Third Party Sick
• Management and oversight of disability, workers comp, unemployment, and FMLA
• Training and support to the HR team
• Assist with reviewing & processing of payroll
• New hire on-boarding & orientation and off-boarding
• Assist management with issues including employee relations, performance management, dispute resolution and policy administration

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources; SHRM certification a plus
• Knowledge of Federal and State Labor and Employment Laws
• Prior experience in healthcare setting a plus
• Must be organized and have ability to multi-task, follow up & follow through with assignments
• Professional verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be adept at working with employees in fair, consistent manner, and maintain confidentiality
