SUMMARY:
The Corporate Human Resources Officer is responsible for the recruitment, selection, recommendation, hiring and retention of qualified personnel to meet the immediate and long-range employment needs of the Bank. The Corporate Human Resources Officer assists and participates in the implementation of human resource policies and procedures. The Corporate Human Resources Officer assists with the management compliance which includes employee transfers, administration of salary recommendations and job evaluations. The Corporate Human Resources Officer is also responsible for assisting with and supporting the administration of the Recruiting Management Application within Corporate Human Resources, as well as working through the process with hiring managers.

LOCATION:
This position is 100% in office. The employee will work full time in an office in a designated WesBanco location. Consideration for location will be at Bank Plaza.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sources, screens, tests, and selects the best possible internal and external applicants to fill the Bank's exempt and nonexempt positions. Ensures that appropriate compliance issues are followed and sufficient background, and reference checks are completed. Works with the department manager to recommend the appropriate salary.

Ensures the Bank's hiring policies and practices conform to the various federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Participates in the new employee orientation program for the Bank, as well as day to day monitoring of compliance with the WesBanco Human Resources Policy Manual.

Maintains a working relationship with department managers to obtain information regarding staffing requirements, job descriptions and individual qualifications. Ensures that all personnel requisitions meet the requirements for the position. Ensures all job announcements are posted inside and outside the Bank with the appropriate recruiting sources.

Conducts exit interviews.

Responsible for the general recruiting program, sourcing potential personnel from the general work force as well as colleges and conventions, other firms, employment agencies, or local organizations to ensure an effective flow of qualified personnel. May be required to interview on college campuses, at job fairs, and career nights.

Develops and maintains good civic and business relationships with recruiting sources. Maintains relationships with minority employment agencies and community groups to ensure an effective flow of minority candidates.

Ensures adherence to the Bank's personnel policies and procedures. Coaches and mentors on Human Resources procedures and guidelines.

May be required to travel within the Upper Ohio Valley Market and to other markets if needed. Participates in local SHRM activities. Works on Corporate Human Resources projects as needed or required.

Other duties may be assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Requires an extremely high degree of confidentiality, understanding, communication skills, tact and diplomacy.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to use a full-service HRIS system and various web-based systems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or Master's degree (M.A.) and 5 or more years of related experience; or 10 years general Human Resources experience.

HR Certification preferred.
