The position pays a base annual salary between $100,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for bonuses.

Job Description:

The People Operations Manager will assist in creating a supportive and engaging experience for our team members. This role will be an essential partner with our leadership and site team members including employees of multifamily property management, hospitality, commercial management, and construction divisions.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary administrator of Red Tail HRIS system, Paychex; Ensure setup of platform and integration and third party services/vendors including Flock Benefits Administration, COBRA administration.
  • Provide managers user access and training of workflows, services, and employee file management.
  • Build positive relationships among employees and leaders at all levels. Resolve employee concerns through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation, and timely follow-through.
  • Manage, investigate, and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and other workplace concerns in an efficient manner. Track trends and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Manage the Employee Disciplinary process alongside the HR Client Administrator including training, tracking, auditing, and following up as needed.
  • Analyze employee relations trends with Leadership and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact to support employees regarding employee feedback, concerns and general people support.
  • Develop, improve, and facilitate internal training depending on company needs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
  • Partner with members of the leadership team to implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote best practices throughout the organization.
  • Support with custom reporting and tracking metrics including disciplinary trends, retention, turnover, engagement, and other key statistics that can be leveraged for productivity, process, and system improvements.
  • Manage separations and the employee exit process, including effectively off-boarding employees, conducting exit interviews and surveys, and developing useful data and feedback to share with the leadership team.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop other members of the People Operations (HR) team.
  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training other team members.
  • Partner with the company leadership on engagement and development initiatives including supporting the performance management process, training enhancements, and onboarding of new team members.

Special Requirements:

Attendance/Travel:

  • This position is a full-time position and may require the availability to work flexible hours occasionally.
  • Regular attendance and active participation at company functions and events is expected.
  • Ability to travel domestically for up to 15%.

Physical Demands:

  • The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. Employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience with multi-state law preferred.
  • Previous experience with multifamily, hospitality, and construction preferred, but not required

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Paychex experience preferred.

Other:

  • Strong organizational, time management, customer service, and project management skills.
  • Must be comfortable communicating across all levels and businesses.
