Human Resources (HRIS) Workday Specialist

CommuniCare is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about technology and efficiency to join our HRIS team as a HR Workday Specialist, reporting directly to the Head of HRIS. You will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced HR department responsible for the support and management of HR technologies and provide ongoing production and project support. You will function as the HR Administrator for the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Core, Recruiting/Onboarding, Talent Management, Absence, and Reporting modules.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR, Finance and Operations Team to enable the effective use of HCM and related integrated systems and workflow solutions.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and point-of-contact for all HR specific processes and systems within Workday HR modules.

  • Process position management and employee life-cycle transactions and support with job requisitions in Workday working with HR managers and department managers to support new hires and existing employees with onboarding and other relevant data/job changes such as hires/rehires, security role assignment, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, update personal data, etc.

  • Assist and train HR and department managers on how to use Workday and respond to questions and concerns.

  • Respond to employee issues and communicate status across the Workday and HR Teams and relevant stakeholders

  • Audit HR systems to ensure correct information has been input and processed; process data correction requests from operations or as a result of internal audits. Work with HR to identify issues and make corrections to employee data; counsel HR when correction may impact other employee data such as PTO accruals, benefits, compensation, etc.

  • Communicates with HR managers and management team on changes made to employee data.

  • Respond to HRIS tickets within appropriate Service Level Agreements set forth by department.

  • Partner with Senior Management on Departmental & Divisional reorganizations and process approved changes across all divisions.

  • Run and distribute/schedule weekly/monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & HR management as needed.

  • As requested by department managers, processes Termination / Resignation transactions in Workday and coordinate with Payroll and IT teams as needed.

  • Populate Workday EIB template for mass data load events or acquisitions.

  • Participate in system testing for software updates and business process changes.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date business processes and job aids.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience required related to Human Capital Management (HCM) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

  • Experience with human capital management systems (e.g. Workday) preferred

  • Experience with Workday EIB desirable.

  • Strong diplomacy and adaptability attributes to contend with exposure to leadership team

  • Must possess strong logic, problem solving, and reasoning skills

  • Must have the ability to plan for, prioritize and execute multiple recurring and ad hoc tasks

  • Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail

  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints

  • Must have the ability to be responsible for work projects/tasks, take initiative and work independently

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, in person, on Zoom and on the phone

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately

  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively and effectively adapt to changing priorities

  • Experience with Smartsheets and Kronos Workforce Dimensions preferred

  • Experience with healthcare industry desirable.
