HR Generalist, OPA–Anchorage, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join the HR Department, in the role of HR Generalist. We are a growing practice with advanced HR technology. Responsibilities
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. Depending on experience and interest, the HR Generalist may have opportunities for professional development into a role as HR Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Handles job application intake and processing using an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and maintenance of personnel files.
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists with new-hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Prepares and monitors job postings.
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assists employees with processes associated with FMLA and similar matters.
  • Assists the HR director with ongoing HR projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Management (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: One year of HR or related business management experience preferred.
  • Other Requirements: Advanced technical aptitude with Excel, MS Word and Outlook.
  • Other Certifications/licenses (not required): PHR certification preferred.
