Housekeeper II – Full Time – Day Shift
Work Shift: Day Shift (7:00AM to 3:30PM)
Work Week: Full Time (40 Hours)

Job Summary
The Housekeeper II works as a member of a team or individually performing housekeeping tasks to provide a clean, safe environment using specialized equipment and chemicals. Primarily cleans offices, exam rooms, public areas, and ancillary areas and/or patient care areas.

The Housekeeper II works as a member of a team or individually performing housekeeping tasks to provide a clean, safe environment using specialized equipment and chemicals. Primarily cleans offices, exam rooms, public areas, and ancillary areas and/or patient care areas.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with Infection Control practices
- Cleans offices, patients’ rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls food services areas and any other areas that may require attention.
- Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors, and carpets
- Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping
- Replenishes supplies
- Moves furniture, hangs draperies, and sets up tables and chairs
- May change sheets and replenish linens
- Follows waste disposal policies
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required)
- Previous Environmental Service experience in hospital or hotel setting is preferred
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Ability to exhibit customer service in everyday work interactions
- Ability to demonstrate a courteous and encouraging attitude to internal workforce and external customers/patients
Physical Demands
- May be required to lift up to 35 pounds
- Push, pull and remain on feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work with protective equipment used in cleaning, removal, and disposal of medical waste
- Ability to work in all areas and grounds of the hospital and health system
- Handles infectious and non-infectious waste
