HOUSEKEEPER
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Seasonal

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout lodging and common areas. This position requires attention to detail, time management skills and a flexible work schedule.

• Clean, refresh and maintain all lodging areas as well as corridors, lobbies, stairways, and lounges
• Dust and polish furniture in rooms and public spaces (including outdoor furniture)
• Vacuum and mop floors
• Wash and sanitize bathrooms and replenish guest amenities
• Empty waste bins and ashtrays
• Change or refresh bedding as directed on the lodging schedule
• Perform laundry duties
• Stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms
• Monitor level of supplies and report replenishment needs
• Ensure a high level of customer service is performed
• Report any damages, repairs, and maintenance needed
• Maintain laundry equipment
• Organize and restock carts/caddies
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager

Knowledge

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment

Skills

• Attention to detail
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 50 lbs or less)
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent time management skills

Education/Experience

• Highest level of education required: High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years cleaning experience preferred

• Hourly Rate: $15 – 16.
• Compensation package also includes team uniforms, an employee appreciation fund (end of season), scholarship opportunities, and meals while on duty.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
