Purpose and Responsibility of the Position:

We are looking for a Janitor, or Custodian, to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance, and security duties.

Essential Functions of the Position:

· Cleaning and supplying designated building areas

· Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

· Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

· Stock and maintain supply rooms

· Cooperate with the rest of the staff

· Follow all health and safety regulations

Position Requirements:

· Proven working experience as a janitor

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

· Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

· Integrity and ability to work independently

· Manage and order supplies needed to maintain janitorial work

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Includes office and manufacturing plant. Must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees of all departments, management, customers and suppliers. Must be able to work flex time in order to cover all three shifts, and work additional hours as required.

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.25 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability

• Battle Creek, MI 49037: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Janitorial experience: 1 year (Required)
• English: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:

• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Required)
