To deliver leadership, direction, and resources to staff during assigned shift. Provides leadership and oversight to all departmental employees. Ensures the delivery of optimal patient care through the coordination of clinical activities, staff supervision, personnel leadership, and department organization. Demonstrates a service excellence approach and communicates this expectation to staff. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by achieving financial targets of designated department(s). Leads and coaches the development and growth of a safety culture in the organization. The house supervisor must be able to prioritize work and duties well and must work well under stressful situations. Must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills with a variety of patients, physicians, and other health care providers both internal and external to the organization. Must have the ability to make accurate decisions and judgments quickly. Needs to exhibit team oriented communication and partner well with co-workers.
