Job description

The Hotel Maintenance position requires maintaining the entire hotel facility and ensure the upkeep of public spaces, guest rooms and exterior of the building.

This is a hands on position and the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and all related equipment. Pool knowledge is a must.

• You must be able to complete minor HVAC/PTAC repairs and maintenance.
• Plumbing to include repairs, clearing clogged waste/drain lines, repair/replace sink/shower faucets, Ice machines and other general plumbing issues.
• Electrical repairs including replacing ballasts, motors, switches, receptacles.
• Paint and wallpaper repairs.
• Snow removal (shoveling of walkways and other areas)
• Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
• Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Fire Alarm/Life Safety System - to monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems. To have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler.
• Accident Prevention and Safety - to strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe work environment for others. To continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.
