Overview

Why We Need Your Talents:

The Hospitality Systems Analyst will provide technical support for all hotel and F&B applications in addition to providing on-site support to internal customers while performing excellent guest service. The Hospitality Systems Analyst will work directly with Hotel and F&B management to increase productivity through collaboration and technical solutions. This position will function as a business partner with the F&B and Hotel departments to effectively manage the hospitality responsibilities.

This position is also responsible for ensuring all application deployments meet the defined system requirements, meet the quality levels required of the application, and all known defects are acknowledged. Engages the business key stakeholders to facilitate the preparation, timely execution of, and signoff of Quality Assurance (QA) testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). As needed, participates in project post implementation reviews to evaluate department satisfaction with the level of quality delivered.

Responsibilities


Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and recommend long term solutions if recurring issue application-related problems escalated by first level support.
  • Responsible for all aspects of end user support of F&B and Hotel software applications
  • Manage the development and installation of new systems and applications.
  • Test and verify functionality of new systems prior to implementation
  • Create, revise and maintain technical support documentation for all supported systems, including department SOPs and policies.
  • Drives requirements creation using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases, user stories, screen mockups, time/task studies and workflow and As Is and To Be business process analysis.
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates with staff to validate the information needs and functional/technical requirements delivered through prescribed artifacts in accordance with recognized principles of business analysis.
  • Challenges business partners on their assumptions and execution of plans.
  • Executes testing of software and hardware and communicates test results and risks to project stakeholders to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications as critical input to Release Readiness planning. The types of testing to be performed as determined by the Business Analyst includes; functional, regression, system, end to end, integration, stress/performance testing. A form of User Acceptance Testing will always be performed and documented.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in and knowledge of troubleshooting many types of equipment (POS systems, printers, kiosks, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience with operating systems internals, Internet communication protocols and system utilities

Must-Haves:
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a high-volume company or industry of hospitality or public supported business or high-volume professional office environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of technology and applications used in a Casino or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • May be required to work unpredictable hours in emergencies.
