POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities of the Hospital Liaison will be responsible for generating business through qualified leads. Primary responsibility is hospital account coverage, clinical assessment, and other initiatives in specific hospitals/ communities to generate revenue and census.

Other essential job duties include:

  • Facilitate relationship building and maintain partnerships with key hospital accounts or assigned hospital systems
  • Conduct proactive rounding and on-site visits at the assigned hospitals 90-100% daily
  • Act as an initial contact for admission decisions from area hospitals for all CSS communities
  • Conduct pre-placement clinical and financial screens of potential referrals, admit and make quick decisions on appropriate placement of patients to a community, company- wide
  • Meet with patient and patient family at the hospital to answer questions. Work collaboratively with the healthcare teams on placement and handoff for admission and partnership with patient/family transfers
  • Collaborate with patient or representative, physicians, hospital staff, facility staff to ensure seamless transfer to the healthcare community
  • Convey accurate patient care information inclusive of physician orders for admission
  • Work with the hospital discharge planners and facility to make all transfers successful
  • Identify patient care, equipment, personal and educational needs, and convey the information to the facility staff / healthcare community
  • Regular communication with the facility regarding appropriate placement, admission, room assignment and roommates and census updates
  • Develop and maintain admission and marketing strategies for the hospital account(s)
  • Assist in identifying training needs for facility transition of care team to eliminate clinical barriers to admission
  • Collaborate with the VP of Clinical, Regional and other Support Services to ensure safe transitions of complex and all patients
  • Advocate for patient interests and needs
  • Identify referral opportunities through market intelligence and territory management data
  • Match company, facility services with patient needs
  • Meet and exceed company established targets
  • Effectively utilize company resources to grow business
  • Collaborate with appropriate center employees to determine new sources for leads
  • Utilize company database to input all lead activities on a daily/weekly basis
  • Collaborate with facility teams on the quarterly business planning process
  • Report to appropriate management the 30/60/90 day business development plan

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in outside sales, marketing or related experience
  • RN preferred, clinical healthcare, or related experience
  • Experience in healthcare related lead generation preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in post-acute or acute organization preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Iowa Department of Human Services

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

WORKING HOURS: Work hours will vary based on publication/event deadlines and census buildingefforts. Hours are subject to change and employee must be willing to work flexible hours as needed. Weekend on-call and possible week-end on call rotation will be in place to support business.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
