The Recruiter position is a vital role at FirstLight Home Care to continue delivering exceptional care through carefully selected, screened, and trained professional Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHA).

Reporting to the Director of Client Care, the Recruiter will be responsible for team building tasks such as recruiting, retention, team building via caregiver relationships, basic HR hiring functions, and onboarding.

The recruiter contribution to the successful delivery of services rely upon resourcing experienced and reliable caregivers to provide these most important and vital services to ensure the safety and well-being of our frail clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, post, and maintain jobs on online career sites and other locations
  • Search various job sites for potential candidates and do proactive outreach
  • Participate in career fairs at CNA/HHA training schools and other locations
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and reference verifications
  • Onboard caregivers and conduct new hire training
  • Collect employee records/hiring documents in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations and submit to E-Verify.
  • Process background and drug screening
  • Support the Care Coordinator/Scheduler by seeking/matching caregiver qualifications and availability to client’s needs
  • Assist with other tasks, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years experience in a recruiting role in a healthcare/home care setting
  • Minimum of two years experience and basic knowledge of HR practices & principles and the laws and regulations affecting HR (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Established rapport with local training schools and existing home care workforce a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with multi-cultural caregivers
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
  • Self-directed individual with strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Computer and Internet fluency
  • Must pass background check and drug test
