Mystic Seaport Museum is seeking seasonal Historical Interpreters. "What is an Interpreter?" you ask. Interpreters work with the public in a variety of hands on exhibits, including children and family activity spaces, historic trades, and onboard our historic vessels. You might find yourself 40 feet in the air on a mast overlooking the Mystic River demonstrating sailors' skills, in the blacksmiths shop making iron hooks, or teaching families to play historic games on our village green. Every day is a new adventure!Good Historical Interpreters can come from all different educational and professional backgrounds, so if you think you have what it takes to provide our visitors a great experience, we want to hear from you!
