What you’ll do: ( Through effective relationships, the Account Executive is accountable for providing educational content solutions that meet the needs of school districts in an assigned territory. )
Working in the Central Region, the Tennessee Account Executive will be responsible for the following primary duties:
Designs strategies that address customer needs and issues while meeting assigned quota
Targets and prioritizes accounts and activities
Analyzes competitors’ activities and adjust appropriately
Utilizes internal support effectively.
Strategically plans sales calls by outlined objectives and action steps.
Manage expenses responsibly
Reads the market, recognizes trends, and communicates that information to the Area Management; Demonstrates knowledge of account history, the processes and procedures specific to each district, and the key issues for each account.
Responds to customers’ requests and problems with appropriate timeliness and concern; Develops professional credibility and trust with the customer;
Provides timely and complete information needed for consultants and outside resources to perform effectively in the territory; Uses voicemail and email appropriately
Knowledge of all Heinemann product offerings to converse comfortably with customers and understand their needs; strong questioning skills to identify specific district priorities; Displays a thorough knowledge of state and local initiatives in order to provide solutions
Must live within the Tennessee territory

Education and necessary experience:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of Educational/Technology sales experience with a proven track record of meeting quota.
Proficient in MS Office and Sales Management Software
Must have a valid Tennessee drivers license and an acceptable driving record

Benefits and Salary Range

Salary Range - $65,000 to $85,000 + bonus. Our salary ranges are based on national averages. We have wide ranges so we can be flexible and determine compensation based on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and location.
