What you will learn and contribute to

Reporting to the Head of People Safety and Security this role will provide leadership in all aspects of the People Safety and Security agenda within the respective BG, providing expert risk management direction, technical support and ensuring effective linkage between the CNS, Enterprise and CX BGs and People Experience.


As part of our team, you will:

  • Provide BG risk management direction, ensure risks and opportunities are identified, evaluated and developed with a risk and opportunity register in place to mitigate risk and translate the health, safety, security strategy for the BG to actionable programs that are fit for purpose and ready for implementation by the BG
  • Influence health, safety and security strategy using professional experience and knowledge of industry and risk environment to address opportunity issues within the business group and monitor the implementation of BG level programs and plans, reflecting priorities defined by People Safety and Security, customer requirements and those elements driven by changes in business operations and / or service offering
  • Develop and instill risk management and continuous improvement culture for health, safety and security in all BG activities, ensure decisions are aligned with overall business strategy and proactively identify and solve complex health, safety and security problems within the business group and thinks beyond existing programs to create a competitive advantage with external customers
  • Drives thought leadership, has global mindset in shaping strategy, provides senior management advice within area of expertise and communicate and ensure all Health, Safety and Physical Security non-negotiable requirements are understood and reflected in BG operational processes, including presales, sales, execution and supplier management.
  • Representing BG views and interests in the development of Nokia defined non-negotiable requirements with People Safety and Security Central Teams

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Health, Safety and Security professional with minimum of 10 years’ relative experience with a proven track record and expert level understanding of high-risk areas within telecom and enterprise business with a mindset on threat mitigation
  • The ability to develop and implement Health, Safety and Security standards for a global workplace as a strong communications and influencing skills at all levels of the organization and knowledge and understanding of telecoms site level implementation, project management methods, customer and supplier interface and dynamics
  • Working knowledge of physical security requirements and experience, leading major incident investigations plus developing and operating operational assurance, both at business process level and local implementation and the supplier evaluation, coaching and development

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Language skills additional to English
  • Knowledge of Enterprise business Safety
