Description

  • Provide advice and counsel to Hitachi Energy management and employees on the Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption and other compliance programs. Manage dispute and litigation matters as directed.
  • Collaborate with appropriate parties on frame agreements, contracts, partnerships, or other contractual terms in collaboration with Head of Legal (Region/Cluster/Country), Lead (Legal/Integrity/IP) Counsel, CoEs and relevant business managers.
  • Identify legal and integrity issues of concern to management and develop legal and integrity strategies and practical solutions.
  • Verify good corporate governance around accountability cluster, country and legal Centers of Expertise (CoE) level. Recommend corporate policies and strategies that promote the company’s goals while complying with regulations. Review proposed action plans to ensure compliance.
  • Keep informed of relevant legal developments as they occur and analyzing their applicability to the company’s activities and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of new Hitachi Energy regulations based on local legislation and directives. Assist with the monitoring and implementation of local legislation, directives and Hitachi Energy regulations.
  • Review policies and practices on a regular basis to ensure that all are complying.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms for detecting, reporting and responding to violations to ensure minimal impact and optimal correction.
  • Develop and implement Integrity and Compliance training for employees and contractors within the business.
  • Driving the use of digital technologies and Integrity automated tools within and beyond the Legal & Integrity Community; fostering a cloud culture
  • Provide guidance and expertise to projects in own geography or area of expertise and provides advice towards critical functional or geographical questions/problems. Ensure Hitachi Energy is protected and defended from/on legal issues.
  • Manage and liaise with external service providers, including external legal counsel.
  • Support investigation queries of the Office of Special Investigations incl. conduct of interviews etc.
  • Drive or support usage of Data & Reporting with emphasize of application transformation of data to review, analyse and visualize more insights
