Hardscaping & Aquascaping Foreman

Immediate full-time opening. Gradex Company, LLC (Kansas City Metro Area), an established and growing high-end outdoor living company is now accepting applications for an accurate, driven, and knowledgeable individual to join our team. You will be working with a dedicated, hard-working and consistent team of people by your side.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate heavy equipment - dozer, excavator, backhoe, skid loader
Direct the work and provide some onsite training of laborers and other coworkers
Responsible for creating a safe work environment on the worksite
Ability to shoot grades, accurately layout structures for the project
Read plans/blueprints to identify grades, slopes, structures, pipes, elevations
Know city standards and how to use them in the field to prevent rework and/or mistakes
Equipment safety and light maintenance (or notification of needed maintenance)
Troubleshoot unexpected conditions and create corrective plans to remedy the situation
Be able to sell and process upsells on your project.

Must be familiar with these areas of safety: shoring, slope cut, equipment, lifting and strapping stones for placement

REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years’ experience operating bobcat and/or mini-excavator
2 years of stone or large block retaining wall experience preferred
Have passed, or willing to take:
10-hour OSHA training
Class A CDL
Physically able to dig, help with excavation
Able to pass drug and background checks
Reliable transportation
Valid license & experience towing large equipment
Verifiable references
Must have working cellphone
Some travel is required
Mandatory job training

SCHEDULE:
Approximately 45-50 hours per week. Occasional extra overtime, weekends likely depending on weather during the normal work days of the week.
Start time is generally 7:00 am
Consistent and reliable year-round work

COMPENSATION:
$28-38 per hour to start, depending on experience.
