JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring for a Hair Stylist that has a desire and the heart to empower resident’s lives with purpose and confidence. Join our team and be a part of an award winning, “Great Employers” organization. The Hair Stylist styling responsibilities will be to provide haircuts, blowouts, beard shave and/or trim and hair permanents for our residents in a cozy, salon setting. Perfect position for someone who is looking to work 4-5 days per month and provide service with compassion to senior citizens.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Hair Stylist will provide a variety of services to residents, which include setting, cutting, coloring, perming hair and beard trims.
- Provide compassionate, respectful and skilled care to our residents.
- Collect fees for hair/ barber salon services provided to any resident.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- The Hair Stylist will have a current license and in the licensee’s current legal name.
- Liability insurance is required.
- Competently perform all related functions of a licensed beautician/barber.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with staff and residents.
- Beauticians and barbers are independent contractors and must have a current and posted manager’s license.
- Provides own necessary operating supplies such as combs, scissors, brushes, shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, all hand-held equipment, disinfectant equipment and solution, etc.
- Follows Federal and state of Minnesota rules and regulations governing nursing facilities.
Auburn Homes and Services will provide beautician, barber, and grooming services in compliance with Minnesota laws and rules regarding the practice of cosmetology, including manicuring and esthetician services (MN Statute 155A and Minnesota Rules 2105 and 2110).
