The Natural Gardener, Austin’s premier organic gardening headquarters, is currently seeking a skilled and knowledgeable groundskeeper to work full-time with its hard-working groundskeeping team. Our grounds team looks after our wonderful display gardens, orchard, and wild areas of our 8 acres. We would love to find a person who is:
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with little direction, throughout the day.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Friendly, flexible, and enthusiastic.
- Able to work outside all day long, in all types of Texas weather.
- Physically able to bend, squat, lift, dig, and pull weeds for long periods of time each day.
- Physically able to lift 25lbs many times a day.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Safety minded.
REQUIREMENTS
- Several years of organic gardening experience
- Good knowledge of Texas native & well-adapted plants for our area
- Experience in all areas of gardening, i.e. planting, pruning, weeding, composting, fertilizing, and mulching
- Irrigation and carpentry skills are a definite plus!
