Description

Position Overview: This position is unique that it will be grill cook based, unless there is a need for the person to fill in for a vending person absence for an extended time or in the event that the vending tech position is unavailable. The person accepting this position will maintain this responsibility for no less than 2 years. Management reserves the right to use replacement employee or a regular vending employee to cover absence.


Two positions to be covered at the decision of management:

The Routeperson/Attendant position is truly focused around Customer Experience. The Routeperson will be a working at a specific site as directed by management and that focuses on servicing Micro Markets, Vending Banks, and Office Coffee sites (OCS). In partnership with the Director, this Routeperson will give our customers the attention they need and will be available to help with any on site issues that may come up. Providing a personal touch on a normally unmanned retail environment will give us true insight on customer satisfaction at our top sites.

The Grill Cook is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cleaning, stocking, organizing, and providing excellent customer service. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers. Daily job duties are determined by the Director and or Chef/Manager.


Pay:

While performing Grill Cook work: Current grill cook wages depending on the hire date of the employee.

While performing Routeperson work: current routeperson (attendant) hourly rate. Commission is paid only when the route is performed for a full week (Monday-Friday).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Product: Create and place warehouse product orders with various suppliers. Perform warehouse/product inventory as directed.
  • Product Selection/Picking: Plan & Pick products (PreKit) for vending machines and markets per the pick orders and restocking schedules.
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring the stock levels in all Vending, Markets, and OCS stations to make sure product is full at all times and the coolers and essential equipment looks presentable.
  • Refreshment Resets: Completes resets in markets based off the planogram provided by the merchandising manager and business analysts.
  • Client Interaction: Communication with on-site/local contacts to make sure Continental is providing the best service possible.
  • Coordinate/Communicate: Effectively communicate necessary refreshment services information accordingly with Back of House staff, client, customers, Dining/Food Services, and Equipment Services.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the Guest Experience team to hear the feedback given from customers at your specific account and address issues when necessary.
  • New Item Merchandising Implementation: Ensure that new products are being merchandised as directed by Product Optimization team & Vending Support for our Markets, Vending and OCS.

Other Duties and Responsibilities associated with Grill Cook:

  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Assisting with food & beverage preparation such as creating fruit cups, maintaining the salad bar, stocking food supplies, preparing hot entrees, brewing coffee, etc. Prepare food according to chef, standard and company recipes.
  • Sales Service: Engage with and provide superior service to all customers. Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies. Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints.
  • Transporting Food & Beverage: Transport food and beverage to its designated area to help with catering, hot food drop off locations, etc.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to a positive team environment. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments. Communicate effectively and consistently with Management and co workers when needing assistance with work load. Assists with training new employees according to company standards.
  • Merchandise: Organize and stock supplies, service stations and products. Rotate products and stock grab-and-go items throughout shift to increase sales.
  • Safety & Sanitation: Follow operational policies and procedures. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines. Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, utensils, and equipment. Clean service and seating areas. Scrub and polish counters, tables, and other equipment. Perform other duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary. Use and clean equipment for food preparation as directed by management - i.e. fryers, grills, choppers etc
  • Partner with the RSG Food Service Director/RBM/Guest Experience Managers to resolve employee concerns and escalated issues.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High-School Diploma or GED
  • Prior retail experience and familiarization with basic merchandising concepts (preferred, but not required)
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Food Handling Certification (preferred, but not required)
