Graphic Designer / Digital Content Specialist

Job Description:
The Graphic Designer / Digital Content Specialist is responsible for the creation of all visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate travelers to come to a specific location. Develop the overall layout and production design for applications such as print advertisements, brochures, digital ads, billboards, signage etc. Responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to build an audience and ensure customer engagement. Must create٫ improve and maintain all digital content with the goal of attracting creating interest. Duties will also include raising brand awareness by sharing content٫ and monitoring web traffic and social media metrics with the interest of maintaining best practices. Use WordPress to maintain the accuracy and functionality of our website, create and distribute monthly newsletter, and create and maintain website blog. Review statistics and results reports and report performances to the Executive Director.

Job Duties:

Marketing & Advertising:

  • Create and design monthly newsletter and web, print and billboard advertisements and other marketing pieces as needed
  • Create and design ads and marketing pieces for special campaigns
  • Work closely with vendors for contracted ads and obtain approvals
  • Responsible for getting artwork complete, approved by the Executive Director and other entities if required and sent in timely to meet deadlines
  • Send out newsletter monthly using constant contact to distribution
  • Assist the Executive Director with creating advertising/media plan
  • Maintaining the Media Plan as new contracts are signed, deadline dates, ad details, etc.
  • Report to the Executive Director weekly on ad completions, upcoming ad deadlines
  • Research new advertising and marketing opportunities
  • Ensures that branding is consistent throughout all forms of advertising
  • Travel and work events, festivals, trade shows or other venues as requested by the Executive Director
  • Communicate with other associations, groups, etc. to promote events
  • Attend community and/or statewide activities/luncheons as a representative of the company when necessary
  • Prepare/update power point presentations and stats
  • Collaborate with the Director on new ideas, campaigns, marketing pieces, etc. for associated entities

Social Networking:

  • Maintain all Social Media Marketing
  • Promote partners business, special events, and highlights focus through social media
  • Create and monitor new opportunities, promotions and ideas on social media to promote company mission
  • Review and keep up to date on social media changes and social media statistics and update the Executive Director
  • Work with all social media platforms to attract more friends, likes, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage special events and take pictures and create postings on social media
  • Research trending patterns
  • Maintain and grow Twitter and Instagram followers and Facebook likes through posts and pictures.

Website:

  • Overall responsible for the website, its’ functionality and accuracy is priority.
  • Maintain overall website, update calendar of events regularly with flyers & detailed information, and report and communicate errors/updates to web designer
  • Create and post itineraries on website and for print
  • Research and implement ways to attract additional visitors to the website
  • Collaborate with Partners to link with the ours and other websites
  • Ensure that information is kept up-to-date at all times
  • Share and upload press releases, and special acknowledgments of partners
  • Maintain and update photo library, including copyright info.
  • Research for new events and keep website up to date with Calendar of Events
  • Report website statistics hits and trends to the Director on a regular basis

General Duties:

  • Share responsibility of answering all telephone lines
  • Collect and sort mail when necessary
  • Share responsibility of greeting visitors, providing recommendations, in a friendly & professional manner.
  • Attend Board and/or committee meetings when requested by Executive Director and/or Board

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
