Job brief

We are seeking a motivated graphic designer to add to our team. The graphic designer will be responsible for the weekly creation of print advertising materials & digital assets that support our clients’ sales driving programs. Plan to thrive working in a high volume, fast paced, tight deadline environment. The ideal person will be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, with a keen attention to detail. The ability to multi-task projects is a key attribute. Remaining flexible and presenting a positive disposition in the face of changing needs and client demands are keys to our success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Creation and pagination of weekly ad circulars

· Creation of weekly flyers & other printed materials

· Meeting the needs of client requests

· Pre-press processing and file delivery

· Image, File and Font Management

· Converting files to proper web formats and distributing to digital team

· Communicating and proofing ads to clients

Requirements for this position are:

· 2-4 years experience in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong focus of InDesign

· Knowledge of Microsoft office

· 2 or more years of experience in Pre-Press Production or Print Design. This is not a heavily creative position but design skills may be needed on a job-by-job basis.

· Knowledge of pre-press and offset printing functions

· Ability to work and focus in a fast-paced environment.

· Understanding the urgent need for quality work while still being able to meet firm Customer and printer deadlines weekly.

· Maintaining the advertising integrity for many different clients, while working on numerous accounts.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to take responsibility and ownership of projects while nurturing a strong relationship with co-workers, who are assisting with client communications

· Highly organized with a focus on multi-tasking

· Newspaper layout and design background is a plus

· Price impact & retail advertising experience is a plus

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred, Minimum Associate's degree in related field or equivalent work experience

· Good logistical and critical thinking skills.
