SEH is currently searching for a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team based out of Mason City, IA! This position has the option for hybrid work.

What you will be doing:

• Supporting members of our Civil Engineering teams
• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements
• Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions
• Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems
• The position may serve as a Field Engineer or assist survey crews during construction of various projects
• Manage his/her work activities and team responsibilities and report to supervisor on status of project tasks

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or scheduled to graduate in fall/winter of 2022 or spring of 2023)
• Minimum of zero (0) to four (4) years of experience in the Civil Engineering field
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; Occasional overnight night travel may be required
• Must be able to report into the Mason City, IA office at least 2x per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have successfully completed or scheduled to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in the next six (6) months
• Previous experience or training with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous Civil and/or Transportation Engineering experience including internships
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering plans and topographic maps

Base compensation is expected to be in the range based on skill set and experience.

• Zero (0) - Two (2) Years of Experience - $63,000 - $73,000
• Three (3) - Four (4) Years of Experience - $73,000 - $80,000
