The St. Albans City School is seeking a dynamic flexible educator with the ability to support a 1-3 Learning Community with a primary focus on Math instruction. The person needed must be a strong individual and a collaborative team member. General K-6 elementary education certification required, knowledge of Common Core State Standards and the ability to teach reading, writing and math is essential.Experience with Conscious Discipline and Restorative Practice helpful. Ability to create and lead a School Family and support students in feeling as if they belong and are held accountable. Our teams rely heavily on teaching students through the transferable skills. We use narrative assessments and Common Local Assessments and performance tasks to assess students and inform parents.
E-portfolios are a critical component of how our students and teachers reflect on learning. Technology is an essential tool for efficiency and effectiveness. Our ideal candidate will truly enjoy our children and learning with and from them every day.Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Vermont Teaching License and appropriate endorsement forcontent and grade level.
