RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage synchronous student learning events with a three-prong approach, Learner-to-Learner (L2L), Learner-to-Content (L2C), and Learner-to-Instructor (L2I) within the Teams, ZoomGov, Webex, Canvas, and other video conferencing platforms
  • Coordinate with Eaker Center Audio Visual section and course director/presenter ensuring learning events are scheduled in a timely manner, normally 1-2 weeks prior. Discuss the overall learning event objective to ensure all required documents, i.e., class roster, video or audio clips, poll questions, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF's are provided by the course director/presenter prior to the event. Establish Host/Co-host duties to determine who will fill these positions for the event. Establish how the course director/presenter wants to

address the chat feature during the event. Establish the use of participant video/audio requirements. Brief the course director/presenter on emergency protocols/contingency plans if technology issues arise

  • Performs the following course management functions in the online environment:

Build the meeting room within the virtual platform ensuring government requirements are established, i.e. waiting room settings are established, only authorized personnel determined by course director/presenter are admitted to the event, etc.

Provide the meeting room information to the course director/presenter, manage recordings, establish written emergency protocols/contingency plans, document technology issues and how they were resolved.

Provide recommendations to the Eaker Center Audio Visual section and course director/presenter concerning revisions that need to be made prior to the next session, load video or audio clips, develop poll questions with the course director/presenter prior to the event as required, close out the session.

  • Performs the following student-centered functions in the online environment:

Manage communication (normally chat) with participants during the session about technical, logistical, and curriculum questions

Prepare for the online session, start the online session, establish course ground rules determined by the course director, create an environment of trust, manage the virtual classroom while the presenter is conducting the event, set up breakout rooms, share documents i.e. Word, PowerPoint, PDF, etc. for the presenter

Administer both direct and indirect assessments to ensure course objectives were accomplished.

Assist AV team with class presentation booth management

Qualifications

must have a working knowledge of Teams, ZoomGov, Webex, Canvas, and other video conferencing platforms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
