Skokie Sports Park is hiring a part-time Golf Operations Supervisor to join our team! Staff are eligible for a free membership to our health club, Fitness First, free golf and a free pool pass as an employment perk!


Hours:

  • Spring/Summer: 2pm - 10pm Monday - Thursday & 9am - 5pm Sunday
  • Dall/Winter: 10pm - 6pm Sunday - Thursday

The part-time Golf Operations Supervisor assists the Golf Operations Manager in the day-to-day operation of Sports Park and Weber Golf Course. Responsibilities include staff management, training, scheduling, planning, operations, maintenance, programs, coordinating special events, Trackman usage and promotions. Assists the Golf Operations Manager with the operations of the miniature golf courses, driving range, batting cages, Weber Golf Course and office areas.

1. Assists in the planning, scheduling and supervision of all Sports Park and Weber Park Golf Course part-time staff.

2. Interviews, hires and trains part-time Sports Park staff including cashiers, park monitors and supervisors.

3. Responsible for implementing and complying with Skokie Park District policies and procedures.

4. Conducts staff meetings and trainings with Golf Operations Manager.

5. Schedules all part-time Sports Park and Weber Golf Course staff to ensure proper coverage of facility during operational hours. Communicates bi-weekly schedule to all Sports Park part-time personnel.

6. Evaluates the performance of all part-time Sports Park staff. Monitors the work of staff to ensure that work is performed to the District's operational and safety standards.

7. Works with public groups, individuals and support staff in the execution of all programs.

8. Assists in program registration process, room rentals, special event development and Trackman training and utilization.

9. Assists the Golf Operations Manager with maintaining the MSDS binder. Ensures that MSDS sheets are in the binder for all cleaning products and chemicals used at Sports Park.

10. Assists with mechanical operations of Sports Park including preventive maintenance of the golf equipment, alarm system and all other components necessary for the safe operation of the facility.

11. Assists in managing and troubleshooting any computer, tee system or Trackman related issues.

12. Addresses patron inquiries, concerns and complaints in a courteous, knowledgeable and professional manner.

13. May be asked to supervise the Weber Golf Course in the absence of the Golf Operations Manager.

14. May be asked to perform snow removal duties such as snow blowing, shoveling and salting walkways and the parking lot.

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Prefer an individual with Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Sports Management or a related field. One to two years relevant work experience. Must possess strong computer skills.
